Tustin Legacy

It’s always exciting to win a very competitive RFP with an excellent client, but even more fun to have it in your backyard! That’s what happened this month when the Tustin Legacy Planning Area 1B (the next portion of 51 acres to develop within of the Tustin MCAS base Reuse) was awarded to Standard Pacific Homes. WHA is honored to be part of the Standard Pacific project team who, along with Valleycrest, Hunsaker and Tait Engineering put together a successful comprehensive attractive submission. The winning strategy included providing a site plan of 4 distinctive single family detached homes for 231 homes and a focal park based on the site plan framework provided in the RFP but additionally, an alternative approach was suggested using the same product segmentation for 238 homes. This alternative plan caught the eye of the city and contributed to the win! This will be the third neighborhood designed by WHA within the redevelopment of the MCAS base….the first two are Columbus Grove and Columbus Square. We are thrilled to be part of this great team and know the serious work begins now….
