WHA is proud to introduce our newest solar-powered neighborhood located in Santa Barbara, CA. These forty-eight stylish 2-3 story Townhomes are located within walking distance of State Street and downtown. Forty of the homes are affordable while the other eight are market rate. The project includes five different floor plans, 972-2,210 square feet, 2-3 bedrooms, and 2-2.5 bathrooms with 2 car direct access garages. Our immediate vision was to redesign and incorporate attractive courtyards historically made famous in Santa Barbara. Variable massing and articulation of the buildings contributed to the exceptional street appeal and quality of this neighborhood. We divided the efficient infill site into quadrants in order to achieve the entitled yield of 27 U/A while creating a clever integration of a variety of home sizes, pedestrian linkages and vehicular access. Careful respect was given to the adjacencies with the goal to blend seamlessly into the community. Close interface and coordination was done with the city and their Architectural Board of Review and the Project is anticipated to earn LEED Platinum.
