The 301 Building
Mat-slab foundations are used with expansive soil conditions to distribute heavy column and wall loads across the entire building area. They lower contact pressure compared to conventional spread footings.
The mat-slab foundation for The 301 project is over two feet thick. Extensive reinforcing is used to ensure uniform load transfer.
