Designed for Connection at the Water’s Edge: Inside the Lakeview Club at River Islands

Set along the serene lakefront edge, the Lakeview Club at River Islands’ Del Webb community stands as a modern architectural landmark designed to serve as the social and recreational heart of the community. Spanning nearly 14,000 square feet of space, the clubhouse was envisioned as a central gathering place for residents, offering an elevated resort style experience achieved through thoughtful site orientation, modern farmhouse inspiration, and expansive indoor-outdoor connectivity.

The Lakeview Club design was heavily guided by its surrounding landscape. From the beginning of the project’s conception, the lake was a key attribute. The building is positioned to capture and celebrate this feature, ensuring that residents feel connected to the waterfront from the very moment they step inside.

The clubhouse’s exterior style showcases a modern interpretation of a board-and-batten aesthetic with standing seam metal roofs that emphasize clean lines and durability.

Stepping inside, the Great Room serves as a grand, light-filled centerpiece, highlighted by a dramatic sloped ceiling reaching just under 27 feet. Upon arrival, visitors’ eyes are immediately drawn to the striking 16-foot wide, 10-foot-tall sliding glass opening that frames the lake beyond. Flanking the Great Room are two defining architectural features: a two-sided fireplace on one side and a built-in bar on the other. This hospitality driven space is designed to support events, social gatherings, or everyday relaxation.
