Traditional Living at The Ranch

Tucked into the scenic hillsides of Rancho Mission Viejo, Lotus at the Village of Rienda by Trumark Homes presents a fresh take on traditional living. This enclave of 56 single-family homes delivers spacious footprints, timeless architecture, and flexible design to one of the most vibrant and amenity-rich communities within The Ranch. Located near the historic Cow Camp and The Nature Reserve, Rienda offers access to miles of trails, scenic open space, and lifestyle amenities that promote outdoor living and community connection.

Lotus is uniquely positioned within this village to deliver the hallmarks of classic suburban design—private backyards, full-size driveways, and generous side yards—while also integrating forward-thinking architecture and adaptable spaces for today’s modern household.

The Architecture

Each home draws from the Master Color Palette designed by the WHA Color Studio, curated to honor RMV’s ranching history and natural environment. Three distinct architectural styles bring richness and variety to the streetscape. WHA’s four-sided design approach ensures that every façade, including sides and rear elevations, is thoughtfully enhanced with detailing and material application.

Farmhouse, noted on the model for Plan 1, stands out with its bold, blue-toned siding, slate-style roofing, and modern detailing. This punchier interpretation enhances the neighborhood’s visual diversity while staying grounded in timeless form and function.

Ranch Monterey, showcased in Plan 2’s model, is inspired by modern colonial heritage with subtle contrast between the siding and body color resulting in a warm, refined, and elegant exterior.

Progressive Spanish, featured in Plan 3’s model, bridges generations of Spanish-inspired architecture into a fresh, modern interpretation. Classic stucco exteriors and enhanced masonry are accented by jewel-toned front doors and S-tile roofs for visual impact.

The Design

Designed for modern households of all shapes and sizes, the homes at Lotus range from 2,769 to 3,129 square feet, offering 3 to 5 bedrooms and up to 4.5 bathrooms across two-story layouts with plenty of room to grow. Each plan is built around open-concept great rooms that flow effortlessly into the dining area and kitchens, creating a hub for family connection and indoor-outdoor entertainment. Covered patios and private backyards offer the space and comfort of classic single-family homes.

Plan 1 features 3 to 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a 2-bay garage with golf cart storage – ideal for getting around the expansive Ranch community. The main level includes a flexible den that can convert to a fifth bedroom, while the upstairs loft offers space for play, work, or a fourth bedroom. A covered entry and rear patio extend living outdoors, while the spacious primary suite includes dual walk-in closets for convenience.

Plan 2 offers 4 to 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a 2-car garage. The multi-generational suite on the first floor with an optional exterior entry is perfect for extended family or guests. A loft upstairs provides a secondary living space or an optional fifth bedroom, while the primary suite features a private sitting area, spa-inspired bath, and two walk-in closets.

Plan 3, the largest footprint, includes 4 to 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a loft, and a 2-bay garage with golf cart storage and additional oversized parking or storage capacity. Each secondary bedroom includes its own walk-in closet, while the first-floor bedroom with en-suite bath enhances guest comfort. The spacious loft upstairs provides even more flexibility for entertaining or everyday living.

The Ranch Lifestyle

Lotus joins WHA’s growing collection of thoughtfully designed neighborhoods throughout Rancho Mission Viejo. Each product line and amenity brings something unique to The Ranch, but all share a common thread: strong architectural identity, versatile floor plans, and a deep understanding of how California families live today.

With timeless design, generous space, and flexible features, Lotus is a place where families can put down lasting roots in a setting that feels both familiar and new.
