WHAt Time Is It?

It’s that time again to Spring Forward and set your clocks ahead one hour missing out on that extra snooze.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins Sunday, March 11th just in time to welcome the First Day of Spring, or Vernal Equinox, on Tuesday, March 20th.

Yeah – Spring and longer days.

DST may not last much longer for California according to Assemblyman Kansen Chu, D-San Jose, who introduced Assembly Bill 2496.  This bill would end the practice in California, undoing a law that voters approved back in 1949 via Proposition 12.

Legislators in several other states have submitted bills either abolishing DST or proposing to put the issue before voters in recent years.  Hawaii and Arizona, outside of Navajo Nation territory, are already exempt from the Uniform Time Act of 1966.

So remember, set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday, March 10th before you turn in for the evening.
