It’s Unanimous, University Park Approved!

University Park

Approved! The Palm Desert Planning Commission unanimously approved its newest residential planned community on November 20th. We were incredibly fortunate to be a part of it; WHA was honored to work with University Park Investor, LLC to design University Park, located at the northern end of this beautiful desert city. As a truly collaborative effort, we couldn’t be prouder of this project and here is why:

At WHA, we live by the philosophy “All Corners Met”, which means we strive for and enjoy providing an all-encompassing experience for our clients. University Park is a perfect example of this. Along with the land planning, WHA produced entitlement documents; the master color and materials palette for the entire community; two clubhouses for recreation centers; and architecture for eight residential product lines ranging from alley-loaded and 4-pack clusters to conventionally loaded single-family detached homes and an apartment complex.

The entitlement was artfully done so that any guest builder acquiring these planning areas has the opportunity to go directly into CDs with architecture that has already been approved by the City.

Big or small, we love being able to pull multiple WHA Studios together to collaborate and create thoughtful projects which enable creativity to blossom from casual conversations and inspiration to grow from impromptu gatherings. Working side-by-side facilitates our ability to expeditiously problem solve and strengthen our designs for multi-faceted projects.

We are beyond grateful for this opportunity; WHA could not have done this alone. We appreciate the hard work of Hermann Design Group’s landscape architecture, Michael Baker International’s civil engineering, and of course our client team who allowed us to do what we do best—design!
